Bluewater Health Thursday, in consultation with Lambton public health, reported a COVID-19 outbreak on the inpatient medicine unit of Sarnia’s hospital.
Fewer than five patients have tested positive, officials said in a news release, noting designated care partners for the people impacted are “halted,” and family and friends can still request virtual visits at bluewaterhealth.ca/visiting-a-patient.
There were 11 COVID-positive patients in hospital Thursday, officials said.
Visitor restrictions remain for caregivers not pre-approved by the hospital group’s care team, officials said, reminding people when visiting they must sanitize their hands and wear a mask at all times.
