Two residents and one staff member in the upper unit at the NHNH have tested positive, said a media release issued Friday by NGH.

“Asymptomatic individuals tested positive for COVID-19 during surveillance swabbing,” the release said.

Residents and workers at the unit are being tested for COVID-19 and to date there have been no further cases.

“All residents have been isolated to their rooms, enhanced cleaning has been implemented, contact tracing is ongoing, and residents are being monitored closely for COVID-19 symptoms,” said the release.

Resident admissions and transfers in the unit are also on hold.

“The protection of our staff and nursing home residents remains our top priority, and we are working diligently to bring a safe and timely end to this outbreak,” said the release.
