The stabbing incident happened on the night of July 24 to 25, 2020 during Quincy’s brother’s birthday. There was an argument and a fight, presumably because the cousin allegedly stole a necklace worth 3000 euros from an aunt of Promes in 2016. In an overheard conversation with his aunt, Promes is said to have said that he had “restored the honour”. The footballer’s nephew suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident.
