(Finance) – The Audit section of the Court of Auditors approved the 2020 management report ofNational Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (Enea)a public law body operating in the field of research, technological innovation and the provision of advanced services to businesses, public administration and citizens in the energy, environment and sustainable economic development sectors.
In 2021, Enea – the Court of Auditors said in a note – adjusted its statute by virtue of the transfer of the powers of direction and supervision from the Ministry of Economic Development to the Ministry of Ecological Transition. The Agency was authorized to set up the foundation under private law “ENEA Tech and Biomedical” subjected to the supervision of the Mise, which paid 500,000,000 euros, as a 2020 quota for the “Fund for technology transfer”, established in the same year to facilitate the passage of new knowledge from the sphere of scientific research to that of the market.
“The budget 2020 – highlights the Court – it is solid, with an administration surplus capable of covering the planned investments and an almost stable personnel cost (155,001,350 euros, compared to 154,512,241 in 2019). The payments of the Agency to the State budget amounted to 1,896,443 euros, with a worsening of the year 2020 on 2019 (both in deficit, respectively, of 23,870,777 and 9,404,843 euros), due to the reduction of activities for the pandemic “.
L’amount of active residues – the note reads – is equal to 148,359,822 euros, that of the residual liabilities to 250,993,390. The residuals canceled in 2020 are, respectively, 906,707 and 1,688,157 euros, for active and passive residuals. The administrative result is 677,419,972 euros (compared to the 174,530,411 surplus of 2019), while the cash balance is similar to the previous year (293,850,059 euros).
Decreases by 37.8% on 2019 (-11.940.724 euros) on the saldo between value and cost of production, equal to 16,457,000 euros. Even the net assets drops by 3.5%, for an amount of 652,428,589 euros compared to 676,299,366 in 2019, due to the economic deficit for the year.
