Large amounts of classified material have been downloaded onto a private hard drive by a former court employee in Halmstad. The man is now being prosecuted, among other things, for having transferred a large number of secret files in cases that concerned serious sexual crimes to himself, reports Hallandsposten.
The man denies any wrongdoing and claims that the transfer to the external hard drive was necessary in connection with a change of work computer.
It was when the man was on sick leave that colleagues discovered that there was a private hard drive connected to his work computer at the district court. Among other things, it turned out to contain 131 recorded interrogations held during trials in the district court. According to the investigation, the man must also have transferred files to an acquaintance who was visiting the workplace. The man is charged with data breach or misconduct.
