Margareta, 83, and Per Inge, 81who disappeared in the forest outside Boxholm has not yet been found, despite the night’s search effort.
– Vi still believe that there is a small chance that they are still alive, says police spokesperson Angelica Israelsson Silfver.
The pair have not been seen since last Friday when they went on a forest excursion.
– From what I have understood, the couple are used to picking mushrooms and despite being 80 years old, they have had the opportunity to move quite far, which means that our search area will be very large, says the police spokesperson.
During yesterday, the police cordoned off the entire search area and involved the Home Guard in the extensive search effort, which is to be resumed on Wednesday morning.
– We have had a lower search effort during the night due to darkness, but in the morning today the search effort will once again continue and increase in pace. Both police, dog handlers, drones and Missing people will participate in the search, says Angelica Israelsson Silfver.
The police still believe that there is a chance that Margareta and Per Inge are alive.
– But it depends a little on what has happened and how their conditions have looked these days.
