Couple had sex on board plane – caught and risking jail time

A couple flew from Luton Airport in London to Ibiza in Spain with EasyJet. Once in the air, the couple decided to be a little intimate and have sex.

In a video circulating on social media, a flight attendant can be seen opening a door on the plane and catching the couple in the act, which Insider was the first to report on.

Under a domestic law in the UK, it is illegal to have sex in public toilets. It is also forbidden to have sex on board all British-registered aircraft. If you are caught having sex, you can be prosecuted under the “Sexual Offenses Act”, according to The Sun.

The maximum penalty for the crime is six months in prison and a fine, writes Insider.

The plane was met by Spanish police

When the plane landed in Spain, they were met by Spanish police. It is not yet clear whether the local police arrested the couple or not.

In a statement to Insider EasyJet’s spokesperson has confirmed the incident.

– We can confirm that this flight from Luton to Ibiza on September 8 was met by police when they landed. This is due to the behavior of two passengers on board.
