China is to start issuing passports to its citizens again. The announcement is in line with other covid reliefs, and worries other countries. The United States imposes negative test requirements for everyone traveling from China and mandatory tests are introduced in Italy.
According to the AP news agency, the countries’ rules may be a way of pressuring China for information about the spread of the infection rather than slowing it down.
