Counter-Strike CS: comes to life with Legacy

Counter-Strike fans came exciting news. CS: Legacy A independent reconstruction project developed by community members was announced. This new game aims to re-implement the basic mechanics of Counter-Strike 1.6 with modern technologies. The team, which undertakes the project, consists of developers working on CSPromod between 2008-2012 and this time is preparing to offer a whole new experience with a completely customized code base and game assets.

CS: Details of Legacy project

CS: Legacy is being developed based on Valve’s 2013 Source Engine SDK. However, developers made major changes on the engine and formed their own special branches. These changes include a special rendering system, physics -based shading (PBR), a renewed reflection system, and a completely customized user interface. In addition, all models, textures, sounds and animations for the game are redesigned from scratch.

In the early access version of the game, players will encounter iconic maps Dust2, Nuke, Train, Polday and Aim_Map. The developer team aims to develop the project in a full -time way by gathering support through Patreon. Supporters will have advantages such as special discord badges, signed collection posters and beta access.
