There are only a few days left until Gran Turismo, which is based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, will meet the audience.
The countdown has begun for Gran Turismo, based on a racing simulation video game and inspired by the real-life story of British professional racing driver Jann Mardeborough. Legendary pilot Mardeborough, who made pre-vision statements, and David Harbor, one of the leading actors of the movie, invited the audience to an experience that would make them imagine what it would feel like to be tied to a rocket ship traveling 300 kilometers per hour by sitting in the driver’s seat.
Countdown begins for Gran Turismo movie
Famous pilot Jann Mardeborough, who was the stuntman of Archie Madakwe, who portrayed himself in the race scenes of Gran Turismo, shared his unforgettable moments and feelings while telling how the PlayStation and Gran Turismo adventure started in his interview.
Mardeborough: “The day my family and I went to a bonfire to socialize, I discovered my parents’ friends’ PlayStation 1 and Gran Turismo. After that night, I always started going to their house to play games. When they got fed up with my constant coming and going, they gave the PlayStation and Gran Turismo to my parents and said, “Look, your son can have this.” they said. That’s where it all started.” said.
Mardenborough explained that he couldn’t understand that they were reading his name at the moment of winning GT ACADEMY. “To my heart, oh, my life is going to change completely now. I said it will change completely and immediately called my mother. This was the best moment of my life because it was the moment when everything changed. That moment is also a moment reflected in the film,” he said.
Real track and real cars are used!
Real tracks and real cars are used to convey a true story in the most convincing way possible, and a fleet of 65 vehicles, 22 of which are hero cars, was created. “I actually didn’t know how much we were going to work with real cars, real drivers, real tracks,” said David Harbor at the start of the movie, adding, “95% of what you see in this movie is real. We changed the tires of the cars, refueled them and laps the track in real time with other drivers. “I’m really in a helicopter flying 30 meters above the race cars,” he said.
Supporting Jann’s impressive transition from the seat to the cockpit with drone footage, the film prepares to offer a breathtaking experience to all viewers around the world, and the cast includes important names such as Orlando Bloom, Archie Madekwe, Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner and Djimon Hounsou in addition to David Harbour.
Jason Hall and Zach Baylin write the screenplay for the movie, which is based on the video game by Playstation Studios.
