In the statement made by the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, it was stated that a 3-year-old child died as a result of the use of “Dok-1 Max” cough syrup produced by Marion Biotech company of India in the Namangan region of the country.

In the statement, it was noted that the death of the child took place at the end of last month.

Last month, 18 children who used “Dok-1 Max” syrup in the children’s hospital in Samarkand and 1 child in the Kashkadarya region lost their lives.

Within the scope of the investigation initiated on this issue, the toxic substance “ethylene glycol” in the composition of the drug was detected in the laboratory analyzes of cough syrup, and the sale of the drug was prohibited in the country. (AA)
