In the Chinese capital, Beijing, the corona restrictions have become more severe than before, Asian correspondent Kirsi Crowley told in the morning.
– The usually busy streets are now very quiet. People have been told to stay at home, most of the shops are closed, schools are closed and everyone has to take corona tests every two days, Crowley said from his neighborhood.
Crowley, who has returned to his country of station in China from abroad, is currently in a quarantine hotel for five days, after which he must stay in his apartment for another three days.
Record numbers of new daily corona infections were recorded in China today and yesterday.
