In Monday’s Morgonstudio, the graphics became a feature about wolf hunting gone wrong. The information was therefore corrected in the following broadcast. It was correctly stated that 75 wolves may be shot this spring out of the total wolf population of 460 wolves. However, in a pie chart this was described as 25 percent. The correct proportion is 16 percent.
The issue of correct presentation of data is high on the agenda for our editors. Continuous improvement work is therefore ongoing, both through internal training in the department that makes news graphics and through structured proofreading at the news desks.
