“The Day Before” has launched on Steam. Hundreds of thousands of people on Twitch wanted to see what it was all about.
What’s going on in The Day Before? On December 7th at 7:00 p.m. the time had come: The survival MMORPG “The Day Before” was supposed to start. Still in early access, but at least: The download was available from the announced time.
Numerous interested parties started it and were confronted with a data volume of over 50 GB. So for some it still means waiting until the download is finished.
But some can already play and are now showing their first impressions of The Day Before on Twitch. And apparently a lot of people want to see that.

This is what “The Day Before” looks like on Twitch right now: Currently (December 7th, 7:49 p.m.) 456,924 viewers are watching live streams of “The Day Before”. That puts it only behind the “Just Chatting” category.
For the time being, “The Day Before” has passed Fortnite, which is currently attracting a lot of people with its Lego update, as well as League of Legends and Counter Strike 2.
But while some game scenes can already be seen, others are currently stuck in the character creator because the servers are apparently full, or are simply still in the process of downloading the game. Nevertheless, it is already generating a lot of interest on Twitch.

What is the story of The Day Before?
The Day Before was once the “most anticipated game on Steam”, but was characterized by a chaotic development phase and was actually supposed to be released in November 2023. A beta was supposed to come before, but was then canceled. It also simply disappeared from Steam for a few months because there was uncertainty about the game’s naming rights. That sowed doubt among the players who were actually interested.
What kind of game is this? Basically, it is a survival game in the post-apocalypse after a pandemic has raged. You are traveling in “New Fortune City” and have to worry about your own survival – although enemy groups are trying to get to you.
You constantly look for better equipment and weapons in order to defend yourself against other players and infected people.
Where does The Day Before appear? The game is currently only available for PC and is currently only in Early Access. It will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X at a later date.
