Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says Israel will continue to attack the Islamist extremist group Hezbollah in Lebanon even if there is a ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza.
According to Galant, the goal is to force Hezbollah away from the border with Israel, either by force or a diplomatic agreement.
Hezbollah, which has fired rockets at Israel during the ongoing war in Gaza, has said it will stop attacks if a ceasefire is reached.
