For the fourth day in a row, protests continued in France on Friday evening and the night after a 17-year-old boy was shot dead by police on Tuesday.

Unrest has occurred in several places in the country despite the fact that 45,000 police officers have been deployed to stop the extensive riots of the past 24 hours.

On the night of Saturday, there have been reports of riots and looting in, among other places, Marseille, where just after midnight roughly 90 people were arrested.
