Continued problems with blip payments in Axfood’s stores

Earlier on Monday, there were reports that blip payments were missing in several Hemköp and Willys stores.
At 6 p.m., there are still problems in the stores.
“We regret the inconvenience this may cause,” writes Axfod’s press manager Magnus Törnblom in an SMS to TV4 Nyheterna.

Axfood states that it is a technical problem with the company’s payment service provider which means that it is not possible to pay with blipp in several stores around the country.

Axfood owns, among other things, Hemköp and Willys, both of which have had and continue to have problems.

“Sorry for the inconvenience”

It is the contactless payments with blipp and mobile phone that are problematic, however, it should work to pay with payment cards with chip and cash.

“We are working together with our payment service provider to make contactless payments work as soon as possible, and apologize for the inconvenience this may cause,” writes Axfod’s press manager Magnus Törnblom in an SMS to TV4 Nyheterna.

Updated the system

On Monday evening, Axfood had made an update to resolve the blip payments.

“We continue to work to ensure that everything works as it should, and expect it to work again by tomorrow morning,” writes press manager Magnus Törnblom.
