The heavy rain that fell over Mälardalen and other parts of Central Sweden at the beginning of the weekend is still causing problems. In some places, a whole month’s worth of rain fell in one day. SMHI’s red warning for high flows around Svartån remains and applies until further notice.
Several roads in Dalarna, Uppsala and Västmanland counties are still closed on Tuesday due to flooding.
Train traffic is also affected. All train traffic between Uppsala and Sala is suspended and some trains are rerouted, according to the Swedish Transport Administration. Traffic is expected to resume on Wednesday at 5 o’clock.
