The challenges are still great on the subway’s blue line in Stockholm, since wheel damage was discovered. On Wednesday morning, trains run every 20 minutes on lines 10 and 11 between Hjulsta and T-centralen and Akalla and Fridhemsplan.

Buses reinforce between Kungsträdgården, Akalla and Hjulsta and trains are borrowed from other lines. But there are major restrictions in traffic.

– The ambition is to come up with a traffic solution that we can communicate to travelers during tomorrow and Friday in particular, so that it becomes more predictable than it is today, says Andreas Strömberg at SL’s press service.

On Tuesday, wheel damage was discovered, which is believed to be due to a damaged switch, and all 20 full-length trains on the blue line were taken out of service. The transmission errors have been fixed, but the work for a sustainable solution continues.

When traffic can return to normal is unclear, but it will be more than a week, according to Strömberg.

– There are many wheels to be turned and many components to agree.
