(Finance) – Standard Ethics confirmed the Corporate Standard Ethics Rating (SER) “EE-“ to Continental, a German multinational that serves the automotive industry (produces and markets products for vehicles and trucks such as stability and braking systems, safety systems, chassis, tyres, shock absorbers and other accessories). This is the fifth notch out of nine (in the “Adequate” range) on the scale used by the independent rating agency based in London and focused on sustainability.
Standard Ethics analysts note the Continental’s growing attention to highly topical issues in the ESG world and the adoption of the Code of Ethics for Artificial Intelligence. Medium-long term socio-environmental objectives adhering to guidelines shared on an international scale are appreciated. Sustainability reporting is carried out according to standards.
They exist margins for improvement on certain aspects of corporate governance such as a more equal gender distribution within the top body and in the availability and publication of ESG policies covering issues such as, for example, diversity and inclusion.
