What are the health risks?
Listeriosis, caused by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, is a serious infection that can cause symptoms such as fever, headache, and body aches. People most at risk are pregnant women, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems. This infection can cause neurological complications and serious harm to the fetus.
People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who have fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption. Listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks.
