“It’s a shame”, says the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, that the plans have been postponed again. The municipality would like to build a “contemporary and sustainable residential area” at the location of the barracks, “where people can live, learn, create and work in a green environment”. The municipality already regretted that the district would be built at the end of 2028 – the original delivery date. Now the concept, which has been ready for some time, will have to wait even longer.
