Construction of the Utrecht residential tower Galaxy Tower has been halted since February 2023. Ballast Nedam, the builder of the project, then cleared the construction site to extort money from project developers De Lelie vastgoed. The latter was reportedly in dire straits with a debt of 70 million euros, the Financieele Dagblad wrote last year.
