Central Africans overwhelmingly approved the constitutional amendments proposed by the authorities during the referendum vote on July 30. A week after the vote, the National Elections Authority (ANE) provisionally proclaimed, Monday, August 7, the victory of the “yes” at 95.27%. This adoption paves the way for President Faustin-Archange Touadéra to consider a third term, in accordance with his will.
