Conspiracy site Infowars owner’s property to be auctioned off | News in brief

Alex Jones is trying to pay the restitution he was ordered to pay for lying about the school shooting news.

The owner of the Infowars website that spread conspiracy theories by Alex Jones personal property is in a forced auction sale.

Jones is thus trying to get money to pay the 1.5 billion dollars in damages awarded to him. They are the result of lies spread by Jones in Infowar, that the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting was a hoax carried out by actors. 20 children and six adults died in the shooting.

Jones has admitted lying. For him, a claim for compensation means personal bankruptcy.

Infowars may still continue to operate in some capacity. Jones’ supporters may save him. The forced auction does not apply to his personal account on X, where he has three million followers.
