The Rappel Conso site informs consumers of a new product recall concerning several salmon puff pastries. If you have this product at home, it is best not to consume it and/or to bring it back to the store.
If you are used to buying prepared meals, check your fridge carefully: several salmon puff pastries, sold throughout France, are subject to a recall.
Salmon puffs not to eat
In the reminder sheet, it is mentioned that it is:
- Puff pastry with whole salmon from the Pierre Schmidt brand;
- Salmon feuillantine from the Auchan caterer;
- Puff pastry with Sliced Salmon from the Pierre Schmidt brand;
- Puff pastry with Salmon Demi from the Pierre Schmidt brand.
These products are sold in the prepared meals and snacks departments, within a “thermoformed tray under protective atmosphere” and keep in the refrigerator. Pierre Schmidt products have been marketed since December 20 in Provera, Système U, Intermarché, Auchan, Leclerc and Riviera Saveurs stores throughout France.
Presence of foreign bodies in leeks
The reason for these recalls? The leeks would contain inert foreign bodies, in particular plastic, details the various product sheets. The Rappel Conso site therefore invites the consumer not to consume the product because of the risk of injury and adverse effects following ingestion of the puff pastry. Products can also be returned to the store for a refund.
A telephone number, 03.90.29.03.07, has also been set up for consumers who would like to know more.
