Consecutive air attacks on Lebanon Israel announces ground war

Israel’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Danny Danon, answered questions from reporters at the UN. When asked whether “Israel has the strength to handle another front,” Danon stated that he had past experiences with Lebanon.

“WE ARE NOT ENTHUSIASTIC”

“We are not eager to launch a land invasion. I do not want to send my son or our sons to fight in a foreign country,” Danon said.

“WE CAN USE OTHER METHODS”

On the other hand, Danon stated that they are determined to protect civilians in Israel, and said, “We prefer a diplomatic solution. If that does not work, we can use other methods to show the other side that we are serious.”

Danon argued that they were prepared to do whatever was necessary “so that the people could return to the north” and that the aim was to ensure peace and tranquility.

Asked whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would attend the UN General Assembly, Danon said he was scheduled to arrive in New York on Thursday, September 26, and would address the General Assembly on Friday.

Danon, on the other hand, said that “the situation is dynamic” and that they will provide information on developments.
