A conscript suffered from tinnitus during his time in the Armed Forces. Now the man receives compensation from the state, reports P4 Uppland.

The man, who lives in Uppsala, participated in the summer of 2021 in a shooting exercise at the Falu shooting range. Half a platoon fired AK4s at the time. According to the man, his hearing protection was not on properly, which caused him to be exposed to noise.

He still suffers from the problems and today is very sensitive to sound.

The Chamber of Commerce has decided on a compensation of SEK 57,000 for medical disability.
