(Finance) – The President of Consap SpA, Sixth Giacomoni, underlines the importance of the work carried out by Consap in synergy with the Government and Parliament.
“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks” declared President Giacomoni “to Committee on Culture, Science and Educationchaired by the Hon. Federico Mollicone, to the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, to the Department for Youth Policies and Universal Civil Service, to the Minister for University and Research, Annamaria Bernini, to the Ministry of Economy and Finance and to Palazzo Chigi, who supported the amendment that will allow the State guarantee to be applied to loans from the Fund for deserving students. This is a great result which will allow Consap SpA to implement the relaunch and the Strengthening of the Study Fund“.
“The Fund for credit to young people, the so-called Studio Fund” explains the President “was established at Consap in 2010 during the Berlusconi government and wanted by the current Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, at the time Minister of Youth, for ensure access to bank credit for deserving students. And, on the occasion of Consap’s 30th anniversary last November, it was the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni herself who invited us to make changes and improvements to the Fundin the hope that we can give our country the opportunity to grow and evolve through the education of deserving young people, who can now invest in their future even if they do not have the economic means to do so”.
“As soon as the measure is definitively approved by Parliament,” Giacomoni concludes “we will convene the round table at Consap that we have established with ABI and CDP to ensure that all banks can quickly provide credit to deserving students, with the guarantee of last resort from the State, in fact banks will not have to make provisions and will be able to grant loans to young people under the best conditions. Consap will continue its commitment to the complete digitalization of procedures. This is, undoubtedly, a fundamental tool for the Country System: thefacilitation of access to credit will increase not only the number of students and graduates, but also the Italian economy in the long term”.
