Connor McDavid set his personal point record last night Finnish time. Dallas Stars’ Roope Hintz succeeded, but the team suffered a bitter defeat.
Ice hockey league NHL superstar Connor McDavid broke his personal points record last night Finnish time, when the Edmonton Oilers beat the Buffalo Sabers 3–2.
McDavid scored two goals in Buffalo’s net, so he has 54+70=124 points for 65 games in the USA. If the scoring continues like the beginning of the season, McDavid can reach up to 155 points this season.
In the 21st century only Joe Thornton (125 points in 2005–2006) and Nikita Kucherov (128, 2018–19) have scored fewer points.
– He is the best player in the world, breaks his own limits, personal records and categories. So yes, he leads our troops. He has been leading our troops for a long time and he is constantly improving, Zach Hyman stated.
Edmonton goalie Stuart Skinner reminds us that McDavid has also taken huge blocks recently and has done his job well in front of the goal.
– Only 124 points? I’ve always said we appreciate him. And what he does on the ice offensively and defensively. He also leads off the ice. We really appreciate him, Skinner stated.
McDavid’s point streak is currently 11 games long. The streak includes a period of five games, when the center scored two goals in each match.
The 26-year-old striker has never played two consecutive matches without points this season. The last time McDavid went scoreless was on February 12 against Montreal, snapping his 15-game hitting streak.
Hintz scored a beautiful goal
Dallas Stars Roope Hintz managed to finish in the third period, but the team had to be bitterly disappointed just a good six seconds before the end of the regular game time.
Calgary Flames Tyler Toffoli ran through and made the game 5–4 Esa Lindell and Jani Hakanpää in front of the nose.
Earlier, the duo had arranged for Dallas to tie the game at 4-4 when Jamie Benn steered Lindell’s shot over the post and into the net.
Hintz’s narrowing in the third set was seen from the run-through. The hit was already the 30th of the season for the center. Hintz’s career goal record is from last season (37+35=72).
The Finns also scored the most points in the match Miro Heiskanenwho fed by Jason Robertson With the superiority of the 1–2 narrowing.
