A total of 13 games were played in the ice hockey NHL on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, Finnish time.

The battle between Edmonton and Philadelphia proved the league’s biggest star Connor McDavid’s amazing display. The 26-year-old McDavid was involved in all of his team’s goals in the 5–2 victory. The player himself was responsible for the opening hit of the match and passed the remaining four. The match in question was the tenth of McDavid’s career, in which he scored five power points.

The Oilers captain, who is playing his ninth NHL season, also reached 900 power points in the league in the same match. He has needed only 602 matches to reach this number of points.

– It’s another milestone, McDavid said.

McDavid became the fifth-fastest player in league history to reach the 900-point mark. Only Peter Stastny (589), Mike Bossy (582), Mario Lemieux (463) and Wayne Gretzky (385) succeeded faster than the Canadian.

Finnish Oilers legend Jari Kurri is sixth on the list. He has scored 900 points in 632 games.

The early season was quieter in McDavid’s career, but lately the superstar has found his magical level again. He has risen to the third place in the points exchange with 53 points scored. Tampan leads the points exchange in the series Nikita Kucherovwho has ten more points than McDavid.

The Oilers skipper’s game attitude has also helped the group join the playoffs of the Western Conference. The team is now just three points away from the last wild card spot. Edmonton is also currently on a six game winning streak.
