Henrik Larsson is one of Swedish football’s greatest ever.
Today we celebrate “Henke” on his birthday with this classic.
When he deceived the entire Swedish people in prime time in the TV box.
Few Swedish footballers can match Henrik Larsson’s incredible track record. The legend has represented some of the world’s biggest clubs in Manchester United, Barcelona and Celtic – and has been both loved and praised to the skies in all three teams.
Larsson’s career
The big breakthrough came in Helsingborg in the early 90s when “Henke” poured in an impressive 48 goals in just 52 games. After that, the move went out into Europe and first to Feyenoord in the Netherlands before he found the right place in Glasgow, Scotland.

In the green-and-white-striped Celtic jersey, Larsson turned into one of Europe’s very best goalscorers and won the scoring league on an assembly line in Scotland. 2001 was the Swede’s very best season when he took home the prestigious Golden Shoe and became immortal with the nickname “The King of Kings”.

Henke’s success
Then it was time to test the skills in the big clubs Barcelona and Manchester United in the fall of age. Henke Larsson would also not disappoint anyone and win the Champions League with Barça and the Premier League with United.
Today, Larsson turns 52 and has managed many years as a coach as well. As well as the occasional TV assignment after the end of his playing career and there is a moment that we will never forget and now want to highlight on his birthday.

“It’s completely messed up”
It was when the football icon took up the challenge in the Kanal 5 program “Over the Atlantic” and he out in the middle of the sea deceived the entire Swedish people with the most brazen lie. And this is really acting at the highest level as Henke delivers the best possible poker face as he reveals his bizarre hobby and most unexpected pet, watch the video below.
– I have a slight fondness for electric eels. It started when I was in Barcelona and was at the home of one of the players. He had a pair that he had had for quite some time and had produced fry. So he asked me if I wanted one, he says in the TV show.
– I have a ridiculously large aquarium at home in the living room now. The wife is not happy, but I have no other hobbies that cost any money. They have the horses. But she thinks it’s completely messed up.
