The top two places in the Tour de France are held by Slovenia Tadej Pogacar and Denmark Jonas Vingegaard experienced confusing moments on the 14th stage on Saturday, when a spectator watching the race threw potato chips at the star cyclists.

– I don’t understand people who come to a cycling race to throw potato chips, said Vingegaard, who celebrated the Tour de France victory in the previous two years.

According to French media, the spectator who was arrested by the police was held overnight because he was too drunk to give a statement to the police during the same day.

The professional cyclists’ association CPA says it plans to sue the spectator.

The 15th stage of the Tour de France will be run on Sunday. Pogacar, who won the legendary tour twice, leads the overall competition by one minute and 57 seconds ahead of Vingegaard, who is second.

The last 21st stage of the competition will be run on Sunday next week.
