At gamescom 2022 in Cologne, a smoldering conflict between several German Twitch streamers escalated on Friday, August 26th. The Berlin streamer Kilian “Tanzverbot” Heinrich and the casino streamer Kevin “Orangemorange” Bongers delivered a scene that is now causing a sensation on the Internet. In German Twitter, several terms related to the scene are trending, such as #Gamescon, Tanzban, Tanzi, Scurrows, Orange and Becher.
What is the conflict about? The conflict has been brewing for a long time.
Tanzban (cover photo) has been criticizing German streamers like Orangemorange for months for broadcasting gambling on Twitch. The Berlin streamer already tweeted on May 6th (via twitter):
This casino shit makes me so aggressive. Everywhere I see that from people I actually appreciate. From people who don’t need it.
dancing ban
Gambling is a hot topic on Twitch worldwide. There are accusations that streamers make deals with online casinos and can thus compensate for their own losses. However, the viewers who want to emulate their streamers cannot make up for their own losses, become dependent and go broke as a result.

Casino streamers fill gap of MontanaBlack and Knossi in Germany
Who is the other party? The streamers Scurrows and orangemorange are by far the largest German Twitch streamers in the “Slots” gambling category if you look at the last 90 days.
German streamers MontanaBlack and Knossi used to be leaders, but they recently stopped broadcasting gambling on Twitch.
We at MeinMMO learned from lawyer Christian Solmecke: The move away from casino streams was probably due to growing legal and public pressure on both streamers.
Conflict between dance ban and casino streamers has been brewing for months
This happened in the run-up to gamescom: In the run-up to and during gamescom, the seething conflict escalated.
The streamer scurrows tweeted today that he was at gamescom. But streamers who would have offended him now lack the courage to confront him. Ban on dancing would hide “on the toilet” (via twitter).
rangemorange also wrote on Twitter that he was looking for a ban on dancing at gamescom, but he was “hiding in the toilet”: According to him, that was an allusion. Because Tanzban had accused him of hiding in the toilet at Twitchcon.
So it’s fair to say that the casino streamers were now fueling the conflict via Twitter. Ban on Dance is known to have a tendency to lose his temper when provoked.
By the way, there were also games at the gamescom games fair:
“You sold your honor” vs. “You are a hypocrite”
This is how the conflict started at gamescom: This afternoon the time had come and the groups actually met in the gamescom outdoor area.
There is a 45 second video of what is likely to be the start of the meeting. However, it is difficult to reconstruct the exact course of the conflict because the encounter was recorded with cell phone cameras and only shows a fraction of what happened. In addition, there are a large number of people between the camera and the action.
In our estimation, what happened in the video:
Oranemorange attack video goes viral on Twitter
How did that escalate? In a second video, which went viral on Twitter, you can see the physical part of the action:
Update 10:13pm: There is also a video with the seconds just before this video. You can see why Lola looks so upset at the beginning of the video, she was apparently pushed shortly before (via twitter).
This is the 3rd video of the campaign: A third video shows the seconds after this attack:

What do those involved say? orangemorange says: Tanzban spat on him and “someone” hit/shoved him. He wanted to throw both cups on no dancing. He was “just defending himself”. Red Bull was in the cup (via twitter).
There is no apology for his behavior or anything like that. orangemorange only seems important to clarify that he threw a plastic cup of Red Bull, not a glass bottle.
It is also very important for Scurrows to emphasize that no glass bottle was thrown. He writes: The cup met “a woman who was in the conflict area”: He also accuses Tanzban of making derogatory comments and spitting.
According to Scruwwos, Tanzban “made a fat man,” insulted, and then “his squad started a fight.” Tanzban “screamed like a girl” and ended up “boxing some streamer” (via twitter).
There is a statement from the ban on dancing: He did not spit on anyone (via twitter).
gTasty, who was also involved in the conflict, emphasizes the role of Lola in particular: that is a lioness, she intervened to hold back her friend who had “gone wild”. Hope she’s doing well (via twitter).
Lola wrote: She’s fine so far. She thanks you for the nice messages (via twitter).
When MontanaBlack and Standartskill occupy the moral high ground
How do others see it? In public, one seems to see above all Orangemorange’s throw and calls on Twitch to ban the two casino streamers (via twitter).
A user refers to the rules of Twitch, which also govern behavior outside of Twitch (via twitter).
However, the discussion also shows two camps that argue about who initiated the violence. For example, Orangemorange is accused of “having no aim” – the ban on dancing is attested to be a serious problem of aggression. Even people who defend the ban on dancing say: You know how easily he can be provoked (via twitter).
Several users are demanding a Twitch ban from orangemorange and Scurrows. Many also distance themselves from all parties involved in the dispute.
Both MontanaBlack and Fortnite streamer Standard Skill comment on what is happening and condemn it.
In any case, it doesn’t seem to have been a highlight of the German Twitch scene.
Six conflict-related topics are trending on German Twitter
Trending on Twitter Friday night are #Gamescom, Tanzban, Tanzi, Orange, Scurrows and Becher.
In 2022, after many years of virtual trade fairs, there was again a gamescom on site. As early as 2018 there was an incident that was of a similar level to the dispute between the German influencers:
