– The mayor could appeal after the ruling but decided not to.

– Woerden&Democracy would like the council questions from two years ago to be answered. This is what the Municipal Executive thinks about this: The council questions were asked as oral questions at the time (these are formally a different type of questions than written, Article 42 questions). This is normally also answered verbally. That was not possible at the time, due to secrecy. This is explained in a memo.

Various other council questions on this subject were also later asked and answered and various documents were made public. As far as the council is concerned, the council questions can therefore be regarded as answered.

Both Bakker and De Mooij have contacted the King’s Commissioner because they have heard that he has been in conclave with the mayor about this matter. This is the response from the CvdK: The mayor was in contact with the commissioner’s chief of staff at the time to ask whether he had any suggestions for consultancy firms that he could possibly contact for the investigation. Such a question is very common. And also: Because people should feel free to make such a request (for help, ed.), we do not communicate about this with third parties.
