(Finance) – It will be a tight schedule to ensure that the Minister Lollobrigida brings you to the European Agricultural Council on 26 Februarythe day on which Confagricoltura convened the assembly in Brussels, the proposals for changes to the CAP necessary immediately and to provide the fundamental indications for the definition of the structure of the next programming.
This is what emerged from the discussion at the technical table convened this morning at Masaf at the request of Confagricolturato arrive at a unitary proposal on the hot topics for the primary sector in relation to the common agricultural policy.
“A constructive comparison – says the general director of Confagricoltura, Annamaria Barrile – which brought the issue to the appropriate places. As an organization we are engaged at institutional tables every day at every level, in Italy and Europe.”
“We appreciate the government’s immediate intervention on national legislation and the willingness to work in view of the next programming. Now we need to act quickly on some issues of the CAP, such as eco-schemes and the sanctioning regime, as well as re-evaluating the policies on enhanced conditionality and payment threshold in the new context”.
“Our position, which has always been critical with respect to the current CAP as it is inadequate with respect to the real productivity and competitiveness needs of agricultural businesses, is today shared at a widespread level. A sign that the line taken by Confagricoltura is the right one”.
