(Finance) – ThePaul VI Hall in the Vatican – exceptionally open to a live music event – the December 7, 2024 will host, as per tradition, the fifth edition of the “Concert With the Poor”an event that combines artistic beauty and social solidarity and which for this year will see the‘only date in Italy and the Vatican by the Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmertogether with the composer, the Master Mons. Marco Frisina et al composer Dario Vero with the special participation of cellist candidate for Grammys Tina Guo.
With beyond 500 projects including cinema, TV series, video games for a global gross of almost 30 billion dollars at the box officean estimated net worth of $145 million and revenue of $46 million for 2023 alone, Hans Zimmer he is one of the highest paid, best known and most awarded composers in history.
In fact, in his long career he has won 2 Oscar awards in 1995 for the soundtrack of “The Lion King” and in 2022 for “Dunes”, 3 Golden Globe awards (not only “The Lion King” and “Dune”, but also an important recognition in 2001 for the music of the blockbuster “The Gladiator”) and 1 BAFTA award (again for the iconic film by Denis Villeneuve with Timothée Chalamet), compared – respectively – to 9 Oscar nominations, 9 Golden Globe nominations and 8 BAFTA nominations.
The German-born American composer, head of the film studio’s music department DreamWorks, was included in the list of 2007 100 best living geniuses from the Daily Tepegraph and he has another record to show off: in 1979, playing with the London band the Bugglesrecorded the first video clip broadcast by MTV, “Video Killed the Radio Star”, a global success.

Saturday 7 December 2024, the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican will host at hours 5.30pm this extraordinary concert, which will see the participation of 8,000 people, including 3,000 destitute brothers of all languages and religions: they will be the “guests d‘honor” of the event, invited to participate through the Dicastery for the Service of Charity – Apostolic Charity and numerous voluntary associations that assist them on a daily basis.
The event, which sees the agency HF4 as a strategic communication partneris made possible thanks to the contribution of all the partners, including companies and entrepreneurial or institutional entities that wish to actively participate, supporting with their commitment an initiative that combines art, culture and solidarity. Every year, in fact, many organizations approach this project, offering their support from a perspective of growth and social sustainability and to actively participate in an initiative that looks to the least fortunate.
The day will open withPrivate audience in the morning for the artists hey partner Of Nova Opera with Pope Francisunderlining the importance of the event in promoting values of solidarity and inclusion.

On his social networks, Zimmer, enthusiastic about participating in the only date that will see him as a protagonist on the peninsula, wanted to let us know: “I’m Hans Zimmer and today I’m here to introduce you to my friend Tina, an incredible, absolutely extraordinary cellist. Together we will hold a concert in the Vatican in favor of the poor. This concert is extremely important for us, for multiple reasons. We will put our whole heart into it and really do our best to give the best performance possible, because it’s for a great charitable cause”.
The event that combines artistic beauty and social solidarity is of exceptional relevance: the composer of other iconic soundtracks, in addition to the ones already mentioned – such as “Rain Man”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “The Dark Knight”, “Inception” Interstellar” or “Pearl Harbor” – will play and introduce his most famous pieces, alternating on stage with the Master Mons. Marco Frisina, who will perform some songs he composed for religious-themed films, accompanied by Nova Opera Orchestra, made up of 70 musicians from all over Europe, and the 250 members of the choir of the Diocese of Romewhich celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Followed by the young composer Dario Vero he will conduct some pieces by Hans Zimmer with the solo presence of the Grammy-nominated cellist Tina Guo.
At the end of the concert, as usual, a take-away dinner and other types of comfort will be offered to the 3,000 most fragile brothers as a further sign of closeness, thanks to the commitment of the Dicastery for Charity and to many associations present in the area, including Caritas of Rome and Lazio, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the Circolo San Pietro, the Astalli Center for Refugees, the Acli of Rome and the Community John XXIII.
There public participation al “Concert With the Poor” is with invitation card, subject to the mandatory completion of the form available from November 18, 2024 on the official website of the event (www.concertoconipoveri.org).
Invitation cards, sent via email, will contain a QR code unique code which must be shown in digital or paper form at access control on the same day of the event.
