“For those who do not have a mobile phone, or who cannot handle it properly, this is still difficult,” says Anne-Marie de Bruin of the ANBO senior citizens’ association. “Not all elderly people are digitally skilled, and this seems like a cumbersome system to me.” According to her, many elderly people receive daily visits, for example from several informal carers and home carers. The discounts for them go up to 75 percent. Without that discount, parking is often not an option. “But entering or clicking a different license plate number in an app every time you visit is asking a lot.”
