For this article, RTV Utrecht conducted a tour of the mayors of all 26 municipalities in the province of Utrecht. Of these, 22 mayors responded. We did not receive an answer from two (Zeist and Baarn) and a few (Eemnes and Woerden) did not want to answer the questions.
RTV Utrecht asked the mayors whether they think they currently have enough instruments to manage disruptive demonstrations, whether such demonstrations have recently taken place in their municipality, how they acted and whether they are concerned that there will be such demonstrations will take place in their municipality in the future (for example during Remembrance Day). The results per municipality can be found in the map below.
