Concerns about extreme weather are justified but things will not

Research

A survey by the ANP news agency and Kieskompas shows that a majority (56 percent) of Dutch residents are concerned about extreme weather in the area where they live. Think of heavy showers, floods, heat or drought.

Most people are concerned in Limburg, followed by North Holland. Utrecht is in third place. In our province, 58.2 percent of people indicate that they are concerned about extreme weather. That is more than in 2021, when it was 48 percent.

Kieskompas conducted the survey in December. 8076 adult Dutch people completed this form.
