It got rowdy at a demonstration in Borås in support of Palestine on Saturday afternoon.

The police were first alerted that a motorist had driven into the demonstration train.

Then the car driver contacted the police and told them that several people hit his car and cut a tire on it. The motorist, a man in his 70s, also said he had been hit in the face.

– We are trying to sort this out and hold interviews with witnesses, says police spokesperson Peter Adlersson to TT.

According to the police, no one needed to be taken to hospital by ambulance after the incident.

Several police reports have been made. The police are investigating the case as, among other things, negligence in traffic, assault and vandalism.

– There is nothing to suggest that people would have been run over deliberately, says Henrik Lidhage, on-call preliminary investigation manager at the police, to Borås Tidning.
