Municipal New Rocket School has been forced to shut down operations due to an unsustainable working environment. During Friday, parents and children received information that there may be a change of school because it is unclear when the students can return.
“We got a shock”
SVT has spoken with parents of some of the students. They say they are surprised that they have not received any information that the teachers are feeling so bad.
– We were shocked when we read in the information sheet that there will be a protective stop and the school will be closed, says parent Rebecca Ehrström-Siik.

On Friday evening, Kiruna municipality announced that the Teachers’ Union’s protective stop will continue to apply on Monday.
