Concern and mockery after Trumps rise He has crashed

Donald Trump has a big lead and promises to “crush Joe Biden” in November 2024.

At the same time, Ron DeSanti’s supporters are pleading for him to drop the fight against Disney – and enter the election campaign.

– Trump is at war with the Democrats. DeSantis is fighting a mouse, a senior Republican told NBC News.

Donald Trump was able to deliver his speech in New Hampshire on Thursday night local time with a commanding lead in the polls on who will win the Republican primary – and battle Joe Biden for the White House in 2024.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was seen as the main challenger after his success in the midterm elections last November.

“De Santis has crashed”

But after holding off on announcing his candidacy, and instead getting caught up in other political battles that backfired on him, Trump has backed away.

– We have a big lead. DeSantis has crashed, Trump said in New Hampshire.

After previously focusing much of his speech on sawing DeSantis, Donald Trump seems confident enough in his lead to target Joe Biden.

The president announced earlier this week that he is standing for re-election, even though if he wins again he will be 86 years old when his second term ends.

– On Tuesday, Joe Biden officially announced that he wants four more disastrous years, Trump said.

Requires the governor to act

– This choice is between strength and weakness, success and failure, between security and anarchy, between peace and conflict and success or disaster. We live in the midst of a disaster.

Trump, four years younger, mocked Biden for being old and tired enough to not stand up and give a live speech when he announced his candidacy. Instead, the announcement came in a video.

To cheers from supporters, the former president said he will “crush Joe Biden” on November 5, 2024 and take back the “wonderful, beautiful White House.”

The Republican representatives who stand behind Ron DeSantis, and who want to prevent Donald Trump from regaining the presidency, are now demanding that he come forward and announce his candidacy, writes NBC News.

Pointing out the date

According to the TV channel’s sources, May 11 has been identified as a possible date.

After the success in the gubernatorial election last year, DeSantis polled in parity with Trump when voters had to choose between them about who they wanted to see as the Republican presidential candidate in 2024.

Now Donald Trump is by far number one.

In a poll published Tuesday, the former president led DeSantis by 37 percentage points.

– A good politician knows when you have momentum and takes that opportunity. There is no doubt that the door is about to close on Ron DeSantis, said Dennis Lennox, Republican campaign strategist, to NBC News.

For the governor’s supporters, it is a source of great frustration that DeSantis remained unresponsive after Trump’s many attacks on him.

“Wars Against a Mouse”

It also hasn’t helped that he ended up in several political battles that are believed to take the focus away from the fight to win over the Democrats in the next election.

DeSantis is in a bitter feud with Disney World. He wants to politically take away from the company the extensive autonomy it has in its immediate area.

The reason is that Disney spoke out critical of De Santi’s proposed legislation around transgender people and sexual orientation.

Several top Florida Republicans who support DeSantis told NBC News that the battle is hurting him among voters.

At the same time, Donald Trump has gotten more than 50 Republicans in Congress to support his election campaign. For DeSantis, the number is three.

– Trump is at war with the Democrats. DeSantis is at war with a mouse. Members of Congress and voters are choosing the battle that matters most, said the top Florida Republican who wants DeSantis to be president. to NBC News.
