When Steven Spielberg makes a science fiction blockbuster, not much can go wrong. Since the beginning of his career he has been associated with the genre. Based on the novel of the same name by Ernest Cline, Ready Player One takes you to the year 2045. The earth is a desolate place and people prefer to take refuge there virtual worlds. For young Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan), almost his entire life takes place in the rooms of the OASIS, which he enters through his virtual reality glasses.

Ready Player One
Ready Player One best captures the unleashed adventure feeling of The Adventures of Tintin – The Secret of the Unicorn, in which Spielberg massively uses digital worlds and the Motion capture technology has worked. Every movement of the actors is tracked and transferred to the computer.
Spielberg also made extensive use of the motion capture process in the dizzying OASIS scenes. In contrast to many other directing colleagues, however, that was never the case for him Feeling for the cinematic spaces and how the characters move in it is lost. Ready Player One is a fast-paced rollercoaster ride.
