2023 is a good year for Star Trek fans – for both the old and new Trekkie guard. Star Trek: Picard Season 3 reunites the original cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation. And the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds delivered one of the best Star Trek episodes ever.

With Star Trek: Very Short Treks another one is coming all-new animated web series on top. Included are, among others, the new Spock (Ethan Peck), the old Sulu (George Takei) and a deceased fan favorite from Strange New Worlds.

Star Trek: Very Short Treks starts for the 50th anniversary of the first animated Star Trek series: The Enterprise. Despite the original voices of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy as Kirk and Spock, the 1973 animated series was canceled after 2 seasons. The current animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, on the other hand, will enter its 4th season in September 2023.

You can watch the five episodes of Star Trek: Very Short Treks stream for free. They appear weekly on the official Star Trek homepage . The first episode starts on Friday, September 8, 2023. A new episode will appear every Wednesday at 5 p.m. German time for the four following weeks, reports TV Series.
