[Mise à jour du 15 juin à 16h55]. The admission phase continues until July 7, 2023. It allows candidates to respond to the orientation wishes they receive for a month. For now, 86% of high school students have already received at least one admission proposal, said the Ministry of National Education in a press release. This June 15, 2023, a new stage opens for high school students: this is the complementary phase. It offers the possibility to students who have not yet found the training they really want to follow in higher education, or those who have not obtained a positive response, to formulate up to 10 new wishes in training courses with squares.

How is the complementary phase going on Parcoursup?

Students who have not yet received an admission offer can formulate up to 10 new wishes during the complementary phase which opens on June 15, in particular by consulting a search engine. “They will receive the answers of the formations as and when the formulation of their wishes “ explains the ministry. Thus, more than 5,300 training courses, which will be updated every day, are offered to baccalaureate candidates.

Until July 7, you can consult the answers for each wish made as well as the sub-wishes. Admissions proposals will be received on an ongoing basis.. By responding to these admission proposals, and in particular if you refuse some of them, this frees up places which will then be offered to other candidates.

Know that you can receive one or more admission proposals, at the same time or on different dates, but that you can only accept one at a time. Here are the 4 types of training responses:

A “Yes” corresponds to a proposal for admission. You will then only have to validate or not this choice while waiting a few hours, because at the very beginning of the admission phase, the Parcoursup platform will be in “consultation” mode only.

A “If yes (for a license wish)” corresponds to an admission proposal accompanied, if you accept it, by a support system to strengthen your skills.

A “in waiting list” means you are on the waiting list. This evolves according to the places that become free. If you are in this case, check your place in the waiting list: if you are at the top of this list, you should receive an admission proposal a few days later after the withdrawal of other candidates.

A “No (only for a wish in selective training)” means that the committee for examining the wishes of the training did not accept your file. You must then wait for the additional phase of Parcoursup.

What is the deadline for responding to admissions proposals?

You generally have a few days to definitively validate your admission in the event of a positive response. The deadlines are displayed in your file, opposite the admissions proposal.

Dates of proposals receivedDeadline for responding to proposals
Proposal received between June 1 and June 2, 2023Until June 4, 2023 11:59 p.m. (Paris time)
Proposal received on June 3Until June 5, 2023 11:59 p.m.
Between June 4 and July 62 days to respond

What if I don’t respond to a proposal by the deadline?

In this case, the admission proposal can no longer be validated. It will then be proposed to another candidate. Pending requests must also be confirmed within three days.
