The creation in 2021 of the Independent National Authority for Recognition and Reparation (Inirr), a structure set up following the Sauvé report for the compensation of victims of sexual crimes, perpetrated within the Catholic Church during decades, constituted a turning point in the awareness of the responsibility of an institution with regard to the hundreds of thousands of victims, children and adults. The president of the Inirr receives, this Tuesday, several associations of victims who denounce the slowness of the compensations.
