The microphone is tied over the mouth and is intended to absorb noise
What kind of device is it? mutalk featured Shiftall as a soundproof Bluetooth microphone that “makes it difficult for others to hear your voice while preventing ambient noise from getting into the microphone.”
The manufacturer himself explains that the device was developed for situations such as offices or for gaming (via shiftall.net). Because soundproof boxes or the insulation of walls costs a lot of money. The manufacturer explains: “The soundproof Bluetooth microphone ‘mutalk’ is an inexpensive and space-saving solution to this problem.”
How does the device work? Mutalk is pulled directly over the mouth and attached to the head with ties. This way your hands remain free. You can also connect headphones to the device.
How much does the device cost and when will it be out? The price is not yet known. Mutalk should officially be available on the market in 2023, but Shiftall has not yet given an exact date.
Mutalk is not the first microphone of this type on the market
With the Hushme Classic device, there is already a microphone that you also put on your mouth, like mutalk. Hushme Classic also relies on a wireless connection and the option to connect your own headphones. Also, Hushme’s model is said to offer 10 hours of battery life, which is a little more than mutalk.
