In total, the total tax debt is SEK 45 billion, according to figures from the Swedish Tax Agency that the Economic Committee has seen.
Patrik Krassén at the organization Företagarna says that the repayment of the debts means that some of the companies are now threatened with bankruptcy.
– There is a big risk that a number of companies will not make it and then they face bankruptcy or reconstruction in the worst case, says Krassen to the radio.
The company with the largest tax debt from the pandemic is the vehicle component company IAC, which has a debt of SEK 1.2 billion. Other companies with large debts remaining are the airline SAS, the department store chain Åhléns and the hotel chain Scandic.
