Comoros’ accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) became official on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, after seventeen years of waiting and negotiation. Now the 165th member of the organization, the archipelago has aroused mixed reactions in Moroni, given the challenges to overcome to fully benefit from this new situation.
